Overview Join Ascend Medical and help us deliver restorative, whole-person care. We’re looking for a warm, engaging, and personable Medical Assistant to support our Restorative Health provider in Woodstock. What You’ll Do Welcome patients warmly and make every visit feel personal and supportive. Manage check-in/out, scheduling, and patient communications. Take vitals, assist with procedures, perform injections, and collect lab specimens. Keep rooms stocked, equipment clean, and records accurate in EMR. Collaborate with the provider to ensure seamless, compassionate care. What Makes You a Great Fit Naturally friendly, approachable, and empathetic. Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR equivalent healthcare preparation (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) is required. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred Minimum of 2 years MA experience working in a healthcare setting required. Strong ability to utilize technology Must be current in CPR certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology, ICD-10 and CPT codes, insurance eligibility and copay determination. Proficiency with venipuncture, IV placement, injections, and basic medical assistant duties. Effective communication and interaction with team members, patients, providers, and other colleagues.
