Senior Tax Staff AccountantGelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Senior Tax Staff Accountant, ideally with entertainment business management experience, to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Senior Tax Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research. This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of our Nashville, TN office.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returnsReview General Ledger and other reports to assist in preparation of tax projectionsPerform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client's tax issuesCorrespondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or tax auditsAssist in the preparation of financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.Assist with tour preparation and planning, including budgets and state, local and international tax clearances, and reductions for touring artistsAssist with various business management tasks (such as purchase and sale of real estate, royalty allocations, prepping RMD schedules, international employment documents, etc.)Informal supervision and training of Staff Accountant(s)Other projects and duties as assignedQualifications3+ years of experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returnsExperience working with entertainment and HNW individuals is highly preferredBachelor's degree is requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and WordFamiliarity with AgilLink is a plusFamiliarity with CCH tax software is a plusCPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferredSolid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)Capability to learn new systems and process information quicklyOrganization skills with attention to detailThis is a non-exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $80,000-$110,000. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
